I've created a google earth placemark file from an FCC database. I took the airport and runway listing from the FCC database and converted them ti KML files. I picked on these, because they were smallish text files, so would likely be easy to write a script to convert.
I wrote two scripts to convert each one and tack on the rest of the XML file folderol. Anyway here are the results:
